beauty and sorrow

today was a flurry of spring cleaning and it was perfectly timed with beautiful, sunny, spring weather. the house needed that cleaning and we needed the purge. our days have been tinged with sadness and disbelief around here so putting things in order felt right, soothing. you know what they say, "this too shall pass." i don't know who said it, if i think hard enough i'd certainly remember, but that has surely been my experience. but still.....there is the shock of the here and the now to muddle through.

i believe this one is snugglepot.

can you fathom your own beauty?

bottlebrush & bee

bark

i've been making my own soil. i had no idea how much it would enrich my soul. yesterday i dug my hands into it for the first time. exquisite. i mixed the manure into the compost and then added blood & bone. i churned it over and over with my hands until my body ached, my fingers almost numb. sometimes we have to do things we don't understand. we have to go places, say things, act in ways that others cannot comprehend, but "this too shall pass".

I found you on my lovely friend Ciara's sidebar at MilkMoon. I was immediately taken by the red gum blossom & had to come and look.
It seems we may share a city of residence in common? Not sure.
Anyway Welcome to Oz.
xx
I Look forward to stopping by here to check out your loveliness.
